Hours per day

Herbs 8 to 12 hours per day. Houseplants 10 to 12 hours per day. Leafy greens 12 to 16 hours per day. All other plants 12 hours per day for e.g. 07:00 till 19:00 so your plants can grow during the day and rest at night.

Product questions

What are these lights good for?

You can grow anything from seed to microgreens (cress, mustard), leafy greens (lettuces, kale, mizuna, swiss chard, arugula), fresh herbs (watercress, mustard greens, basil, parsley, cilantro, thyme), berries (strawberries, blueberries), edible flowers (pansy), cacti, succulents, from fruiting vegetables seed to young plant (tomato, bell pepper, cucumber) or other plants such as anthurium and more.

These lights are perfect to use indoor above a seedling tray or table, above potted plants or above a hydroponic setup. For the best results the distance from the light to plant should be 5 to 20cm and it has positive effects up to 40cm. Microgreens, herbs and leafy greens are the easiest types of crops and you can pick some leaves everyday. Within 14 days you'll see strong meristems, green leaves and good rooting so the plants grow well.

When can I expect to see results?

You’ll see better germination as if it was a perfect day and perfect season for your seeds or cuttings.

 For tomatoes and other seeds from fruiting vegetables you will see the result within 2 weeks with good vigorous young plants that will sprout. Grow these until you have strong enough plants that can be transplanted to garden greenhouse or vegetable garden. Strawberries germination from seeds can take up to 6 weeks, grow them from runners or rootstock to get faster results.

E.g. with rootstock you’ll have your first flowers after 4 weeks and first fruit after 6 weeks and ready to harvest in week 10. You can grow these completely indoors.

Herbs and microgreens are ready to harvest within 2 to 4 weeks. These are perfect for hydroponic and indoor growth. Lettuces are ready to harvest within 4 to 6 weeks. Broad beans they will sprout fast and around 2 weeks you’ll have results and ready to transplant them. Cacti and succulent seeds grow slow, it may take a few months to grow them. Anthurium and foliage plants, within 2 to 4 weeks you’ll see bigger leaf growth.

Does it require any technical knowledge to assemble?

No, As you can see in the video here. It's very easy to assemble and even if you are not technical it shouldn't take you more than 5 minutes to build.

Prima groeilampen

De tomatenplantjes die ik onder de groeilampen heb staan groeien prima onder het licht van de groeilampen. Ik heb ze wel wat te vroeg gezaaid waardoor ze nu alweer bijna te lang zijn terwijl er buiten nog niet genoeg warmte en zon is.

Beetje passen en meten wel, want als je de lampen te breed onder 1 lamp zet gaan ze scheef groeien. Je hebt echt maar ca. 30 cm per lamp om de plantjes eronder te zetten.
